Welcome to our blog! We’re the Abraira-Burklins, and we’re so glad you’re here.
We are a German-American family of four that moved to Paris in 2024. We created
this blog to share our experiences and insights into making family trips to Paris as
magical and stress-free as possible.

We have always been avid travellers, having quit our jobs in Washington, DC for a
seven-month round-the-world trip in 2014. Since then, we’ve lived in Singapore,
Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Along the way, we added Chloe (4) and Yves (0.5) to the family. While having kids
has not stopped us from traveling, it has changed how we travel. The key – as
anyone with a tiny human can tell you – is preparation.

That’s where this blog comes in. Paris is a city of romance, history, and culture, but
navigating it with kids can be challenging.
